let's bring in willie brown, former mayor of san francisco. mayor brown, thank you for coming back. look, i understand that this is supposed to help education. but a lot of people are saying it's going to go to medical care, health care, prisons. a lot of people say it's going to go to teachers' unions, it's going to go to pensions, it's going to go to other forms of benefits. and willie, you know you're losing business to texas and tennessee and other states. how can you do this? >> well, it's very simple. the state of california, unlike the federal government, we at the state level are in the position where we're trying to do what's right about the state and about the people of the state. and the people bought into it. the legislature put the measure on the ballot. and with the governor's blessing and with the governor being the architect of it. and then the voters themselves. 54% of the voters in this democracy said good idea. let's move on it. and that is what occurred. and believe me, i don't think it's going to drive any businesses out of the state. >> do you really think -- w
